Mr. Genshaft is a transactional real estate and business attorney.  He represents businesses, lending institutions, real estate developers, investors and individuals throughout Colorado.  Mr. Genshaft previously worked as general counsel for an international resort development company.  Mr. Genshaft is an active participant in the local community, currently serving on the Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission as well as volunteering for the Aspen Jewish Congregation youth music programs.

NOTABLE TRANSACTIONS

  • Negotiated numerous commercial leases with values as great as $6,000,000 throughout Colorado, New York, and Florida; including locations in Denver, Westminster, Boulder, Aspen and Keystone, Colorado.
  • Handled the acquisition, entitlement, subdivision and bulk resale of a 2,000 acre 400 unit mixed use subdivision in Rifle, Colorado.
  • Expansion of multi-location regional supermarket chain
  • Acquisitions of several hotels, condominium hotels and office buildings, throughout Colorado
  • Numerous debt and/or equity financings for small cap public companies
  • Counsel for leading international resort development company with locations in Colorado, Arizona, California, Italy, Ireland and the Caribbean

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Mr. Genshaft, received his B.A. in Environmental Studies and Philosophy from the University of Vermont and received his J.D., cum laude, from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Mr. Genshaft served as the publisher and executive board member of the Case Western Law Review.
